Ingredients – Serves 2
- 150g frozen peas
- knob of butter
- 1 large banana shallot or 1/4 of red onion finely chopped
- 1 small clove of garlic, minced
- 1 tsp creme fraiche (optional)
- salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Steam the peas for a few minutes and set to one side.
- Heat a non stick pan to a medium heat and add the butter, then fry the onion and garlic on a low to medium heat for a few minutes until softened.
- Add the peas to the onion and garlic and saute for another few minutes.
- Take off the heat and transfer to a blender, or use a stick blender to whizz up coarsely.
- Stir in the creme fraiche and season to taste.
